Brownsville · 2027

Bring Brownsville Home.

A once in a generation moment is landing on Brownsville. We can lead it, or we can let the same incumbents who slept on the last twenty years cash in on this one too. I am running so we do not waste it.

01 / The Moment

A Once In A Lifetime Window.

Brownsville is staring at a level of investment and global attention that this city has not seen in living memory. SpaceX, the Port, the rail corridor, the new manufacturing base. The next decade is decided right now. The question is whether the people who actually live here are the ones who benefit, or whether the connected few siphon it off and leave the rest of us with the cleanup.

For too long, Brownsville has been treated as the last stop on someone else's roadmap. That stops now. The opportunity in front of us is enormous, and so is the responsibility. Every street, every neighborhood, every working family in this city deserves to feel the lift, not just the noise.

This campaign is about three things, and only three things. Clean up the city. Make the streets, the schools, the parks, and the public services work the way they should. Bring jobs home. Make sure the work that is being created here goes to the people who live here. Drain the swamp. End the cycle of insiders trading favors while the rest of us pay the bill.

I am not running for a title. I am running because we get one shot at this, and I will not stand by while the same names who failed us in the past walk off with this once in a generation moment.

02 / The Plan

Three Pillars. No Spin.

Every promise on this page is one we can measure, one year in. No buzzwords, no committees, no consultants. If the streets are not cleaner, if the jobs are not local, if the insiders are still calling the shots, we have failed. That is the bar.

PILLAR 01

Clean It Up

Streets, sidewalks, parks, drainage, and the basic services every neighborhood deserves. We start with the things you can see, because you cannot trust a city that cannot keep its own house in order.

  • A real plan for streets and drainage, neighborhood by neighborhood
  • Parks, schools, and public space that match the city we want to be
  • Code enforcement that works for residents, not against them
  • A clean books audit so we know exactly where the money goes
PILLAR 02

Bring Jobs Home

The work being built here belongs to the people who live here. Real local hire commitments. Real training pipelines. Real small business participation in the next decade of growth.

  • Local hire and local supplier requirements on incentive deals
  • Workforce pipelines built with our schools and trade programs
  • Small business and contractor access to the projects landing here
  • An end to incentive deals that pay outsiders to do what locals can already do
PILLAR 03

Drain The Swamp

The same names have been writing the rules in Brownsville for too long. The cycle ends. Open contracts, open books, hard term limits on the favor economy. Public service is not a family business.

  • Full transparency on every contract over five figures
  • Hard rules against self dealing, no exceptions for anyone
  • Independent ethics review with real teeth
  • An end to the revolving door between City Hall and the connected few

Why I Am Running.

[ PORTRAIT GOES HERE ] Replace with a high resolution photo of Mario
I am running because I am tired of watching the same incumbents trade Brownsville's future like a chip in their own game. This city is mine. It is ours. It is time we ran it that way.

I grew up here. I know what this city is, and I know what it can be. I have spent the last decade building, hiring, and putting work in front of people who needed it. I have seen what Brownsville can do when the people who actually live here are given a seat at the table.

This campaign is not about me. It is about the next twenty years of this city, and who gets to write them. We do, or someone else will. I am not waiting.
